I would love to connect with your book club by Zoom (or in person if you’re in the DC/MD/VA area, once life returns to somewhat normal and CDC and local guidelines permit). To request me for your book club or event, please send me an email at email@example.com. I look forward to hearing from you.
In the meantime, if you’re reading MIRACLE CREEK with book clubs or friends, please download the Macmillan Reading Group Gold Discussion Guide HERE for great questions that will help get the conversation started. For more about my experience with hyperbaric oxygen therapy, which one of my kids went through, read my essay in VOGUE.
Some other great resources include the highlighted interviews and profiles on my BIO page, as well as video recordings of author events, readings, and even virtual book clubs on my EVENTS page.
If you choose MIRACLE CREEK for your book club, I would love to see pictures of the group with the book in hand or receive questions and comments. Please email me. Happy reading!
PILOT BOOK CLUB PICTURES & COMMENTS
May 30, 2019: Ridley High School, Folsom, PA, over Skype:
“My soul needed this.”
March 23, 2019: Book Club in Frankfort, Illinois, over Zoom:
“It was a perfect match in terms of topics, themes and writing style, and so interesting to be able to talk to the author, Angie Kim, and hear more about her back story and writing process. We had many questions about how she connected to the plot lines, her process, and how she made decisions about characters. That was a new and intriguing way to discuss the book. We couldn’t get over how she would talk about the characters and their development and wanting the same things we wanted for them that we did, but at the same time feeling the need to keep it realistic. We didn’t think we would have the same restraint. We all loved the book.”
