“It was a perfect match in terms of topics, themes and writing style, and so interesting to be able to talk to the author, Angie Kim, and hear more about her back story and writing process. We had many questions about how she connected to the plot lines, her process, and how she made decisions about characters. That was a new and intriguing way to discuss the book. We couldn’t get over how she would talk about the characters and their development and wanting the same things we wanted for them that we did, but at the same time feeling the need to keep it realistic. We didn’t think we would have the same restraint. We all loved the book.”
